Nativity play for long-time teachers
The bavarian teachers’ association (BLLV), kitzingen district association, has again chosen the setting of the villa sommerach for its advent celebration, as is reported.
The musical nativity play entitled "the new star" by class 4c of volkach elementary school under the direction of astrid boll put the 80 guests in the mood for the evening. The BLLV also honored long-serving members in an atmospheric ceremony, writes the BLLV in its report.
A tribute was paid to the recently deceased hans-joachim schumacher for 70 years of membership. Schumacher was head of the school department of the government of lower franconia for many years and pragmatized the view of the schools. Kitzinger, known for his eloquence and charm, was also the founder and longtime director of the german carnival museum in kitzingen.
District chairwoman sabine huppmann honored the following people:
For 60 years of membership emmi haselbach and gunter endrib;
For 55 years christine helling, ingrid halbritter, manfred schonleber, elmar rausch and karl-heinz wolbert;
For 50 years luise denk, elsbeth eisenhuth, elisabeth keppner-henneberger, reinhold breunig and josef gubitz;
For 40 years astrid michel, irene rausch, susette schuster, gudrun plail, ellen knopp and manfred thomann;
For 25 years kathrin riehle, peggy knauer, nicole achter, silvia hofmann, katrin spankuch, carmen kappner, silvia gessner-rothlein, annette addicks and harald schafferhans.
Huppmann also pointed out the challenges in times of increasing teacher shortage. Elementary and secondary schools have always had to face new issues, especially in the age of digitalization.
The cozy part of the evening was spoiled by plates baked by a school company from the D.-paul-eber-schule from kitzingen were baked.
