Fire in the bamberg district: electronics store in frensdorf burns – high damage

Fire in the bamberg district: a fire in the roof trusses of an electronics store in the frensdorf district of hernsdorf triggered a large-scale firefighting operation on friday evening. As the polizeiprasidium oberfranken writes in their incident report, one firefighter was slightly injured. The bamberg criminal investigation department has begun investigating the still unclear cause of the fire.

Company owner discovers fire

About 20.30 o’clock the owner of the company discovered the fire and called the emergency services. Fire department, rescue service and police arrived with a large contingent. The company building was already covered by a smoke column. The attic was on fire. Firefighters managed to prevent the flames from spreading to other buildings. The work continued until late into the night.

Luckily there were no employees in the building at the time of the fire. One firefighter had to be treated by a doctor due to suspected smoke inhalation. The damage to the company and its property is estimated at over 100,000 euros. A fire at a farm in the hof district caused similarly high property damage: there, the cows and calves had to be rescued from the burning barn.

Officers of the bamberg criminal investigation department began investigating the cause of the fire, which is as yet unknown.
